Mother Knows Best | Virginia Papadopoulos
In the lead up to Mother’s Day this year we have been interviewing some of our favourite mums who frequent The Parlour Room. We’ve asked them to share their lessons learned through motherhood, the best beauty advice they’ve ever received and their favourite beauty finds.
Mother’s know everything. It’s a fact. And we hope to share this knowledge with you to both inspire and celebrate these wonderful women in our lives.
Introducing…
My mum has always been my biggest role model, she is the strongest woman I know. Raising 5 children and running a business without any help. She is a classic timeless beauty, never one to try and stand out in a crowd, yet always does, because her beauty shines inside and out.
WHAT IS THE BEST BEAUTY ADVICE YOUR MUM EVER GAVE YOU?
My mum believed all a woman needed was lipstick. She used only a natural soap and moisturiser to her 90s.
She did not pluck her brows or dye her hair and she was lucky that she was a beautiful woman even so.
SINCE ENTERING MOTHERHOOD, WHAT HAVE YOU LEARNED SO FAR?
This is a big question!
I guess the biggest thing I have learnt so far is that your children are your best teachers.
They shine the light on all the good and not so good things you do. They are also the light in your heart.
IF YOU COULD PASS ON ONE PIECE OF ADVICE TO YOUR CHILDREN, WHAT WOULD IT BE?
Be happy! Remember you are your word and keeping it brings happiness to you and the person you gave it to. Love and laugh as much
